Greg Battaglia
Greg Battaglia is a lifelong fitness enthusiast. He possesses a strong fascination with evolutionary biology and utilizes evolutionary theory as a template to help him both critique and construct ideas and models that can be applied to fitness, health, and longevity. He finds it striking that most health and fitness experts treat the human body as if it has simply fallen from the sky, void of any evolutionary influence, especially considering the scientific and real-life evidence of the adaptive capabilities of human beings. Greg is not simply a theorist, however, he believes firmly that anyone serious about obtaining elite levels of health and fitness must put their theories to the test to prove or disprove their validity. He possesses a particular interest in the nutritional end of the health/fitness/longevity spectrum but realizes that exercise, stress, sleep, etc also have a profound effect on human health.
Greg has completed 2 ½ years of undergraduate school in Biological Science at Neumann College in Aston, Pa and is currently enrolled at Immaculata University in Immaculata, Pa to study Nutrition and Dietetics with a minor in Exercise Physiology. His learning experience in the biology department at Neumann College has greatly enhanced his ability to read and interpret scientific studies and other literature related to the science of health and fitness. Most importantly, Greg is passionately committed to interpreting the available scientific data and translating it into a simple and coherent message in order to make a profound impact on improving everyday people’s lives.
Greg is a huge advocate of simplicity and this shines through in his prescriptions for nutrition, exercise, and healthy lifestyle habits. One needn’t be a doctor or university-level researcher to understand or apply the concepts behind a healthy, fulfilling lifestyle.
One of Greg’s favorite quotes is “If you’re not actively living, you’re passively dying”. Think about these words, how they relate to your personal life, and start living your life proactively if you’re not already!
